Important Notices:

A license agreement for a new flying site was signed with the city of Oro Valley on August 13, 2008.  Bob Shumann has been working with Oro Valley Parks & Recreation, since January 2007.  He has been assisted by Kevin Houser, Bill Melcher, Jim Morris and many others. The use of public land in Oro Valley was made possible because the town of Oro Valley relaxed restrictions on flying model airplanes, allowing the Sonoran Desert Flyers to fly on land that had previously prohibited model aircraft flight . There will be some restrictions to comply with site license requirements and details remain to be finalized. Our goal is to complete definition of critical details by late August.

The club again has a place to congregate and fly together.  With electrics increasing in popularity, the limitation isn't so bad.

The new website for the club is here:  http://sdfrc.myRcClub.com/ It has the capability for club members to contribute articles and event info.
